HR Data Analyst



We are partnering with a large New Zealand organisation to recruit a highly impactful HR Data Analyst within their People & Capability team to support data analysis across a complex remuneration and performance project.  

About the role:

This role is ideal for a technically strong HR Data Analyst who enjoys working at the intersection of systems, reporting, process improvement and data-driven decision making. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on HR systems administration, reporting, analytics and continuous improvement. 

Key responsibilities:

• Managing and optimising HRIS platforms including UKG Kronos, Cornerstone, Culture Amp and Snaphire
• Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and people analytics reporting (Power BI experience is a nice to have but not essential)
• Analysing workforce data and delivering insights to support business and people strategy
• Ensuring data integrity, governance and reporting accuracy across people systems
• Identifying opportunities to automate and improve HR processes and workflows
• Supporting system enhancements, implementations, upgrades and user adoption
• Partnering with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reporting and system solutions

Your background:

• Strong experience working with HRIS platforms and people data
• Advanced reporting and analytics capability, ideally with Power BI
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Experience improving processes, workflows and system functionality
• The ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A naturally curious and solutions-focused mindset
• Interest in AI, automation and emerging technology trends within HR
