Key Responsibilities
As Head of Risk Monitoring & Oversight, you’ll be the go-to delegate for the GM of Enterprise & Operational Risk. You’ll strike the perfect balance: maintaining sharp Line 2 independence while acting as a trusted, value-adding partner to the business.

• Lead the Charge: Run end-to-end Line 2 oversight across key distribution business units—setting priorities, driving risk appetite, and turning insights into action.
• Bring the Challenge: Represent Line 2 in senior governance forums. You’ll spot material risks early and constructively challenge Line 1 to own their risk outcomes.
• Uplift the Culture: Shift the mindset from compliance-by-default to genuine risk maturity and accountability.
• Rally the Team: Lead and empower a high-performing team of risk specialists to deliver seamless oversight at scale.

What You Bring to the Table

• Deep Expertise: Serious experience in operational and/or compliance risk within financial services.
• Executive Gravitas: The confidence and diplomacy to challenge senior leaders, influence at the highest levels, and hold your ground.
• Rock-Solid Judgement: You thrive in the grey, making smart, pragmatic calls in complex or ambiguous situations.
• People Leadership: A track record of coaching teams, elevating performance, and having fun doing it.
