Data Analyst



Perfect for someone with 2-4 years’ experience in a data, operations, or analytics role and supported by an experienced Data Analyst, you will follow well-documented processes to execute daily activities. This is a 6 month contract role based in Auckland working in the financial services industry. 

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily remediation activities ensuring data accuracy and process completeness.
• Extract data sets utilizing intermediate SQL queries and validation techniques.
• Run predefined workflows utilizing modern ETL tools and Microsoft infrastructure.
• Perform routine quality checks to reconcile outputs against expected results.
• Document technical execution steps and process anomalies for analytics teams.

Ideal Experience:

• Competent SQL capability including data validation, joins, and basic queries.
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory or SSIS.
• Methodical approach to repetitive technical tasks with high attention to detail.
• Clear communication style to collaborate effectively with data and project teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for rapid data manipulation and checking.
