About the Company
Our leading financial services client is looking for leaders to embed proactive risk practices into day-to-day Personal Banking operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between compliance frameworks and business activities, ensuring risks are understood, managed, and aligned with strategic goals.
 
About the Role & Responsibilities
As the central point of contact for Line 1 stakeholders, you will provide practical guidance and constructive challenge to drive a “compliance-by-design” culture.

• Advisory: Partner with Personal Banking leaders to provide high-quality risk and compliance advice.
• Risk Delivery: Support stakeholders with end-to-end processes, including risk assessments, control design, risk-in-change, and self-assessments.
• Incident Management: Lead root-cause analysis to ensure incidents are promptly identified, assessed, and resolved.
• Capability Building: Deliver training to uplift risk awareness and capability across the division.
• Governance: Provide risk expertise and reporting to steering committees, working groups, and leadership meetings.

Candidate Skills Needed
We are seeking a confident relationship-builder who can translate complex compliance concepts into practical business solutions.

• Experience: 7 years in financial services compliance, risk, legal, or a similar field, with a strong grasp of operational risk frameworks.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build relationships across levels, provide constructive feedback, and challenge the status quo when necessary.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to explain risk concepts to non-experts.
• Adaptability: Comfortable navigating change, uncertainty, and agile ways of working.
• Execution: Highly organized and able to own complex tasks end-to-end while keeping stakeholders engaged.
