Workday Finance Transformation Manager



The Opportunity

You will take responsibility for the design and delivery of finance transformation workstreams across complex client projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading finance system implementation workstreams from initial discovery through design, configuration, testing, deployment and optimisation
• Working across finance areas such as general ledger, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, expenses, accounts receivable, banking, fixed assets, projects and financial reporting
• Understanding client finance processes and translating business requirements into practical system solutions
• Running workshops with finance leaders and other key stakeholders
• Advising clients on system design options, process improvements and implementation considerations
• Identifying project risks, dependencies and issues and helping clients work through them
• Ensuring finance processes, reporting, controls, data and system functionality work effectively together
• Managing and mentoring consultants within project teams
• Reviewing project outputs and maintaining a high standard of delivery
• Building strong relationships with senior client stakeholders
• Supporting proposals, demonstrations, project scoping and other business development activity
• Contributing to the continued growth of the organisation’s finance transformation and cloud ERP capability

What We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• Experience implementing Workday Financial Management or another major cloud-based finance platform
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting processes
• Experience owning a finance module, functional stream or significant component of an ERP implementation
• Exposure to the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing and deployment
• Strong understanding of how finance systems interact with reporting, data, security, integrations and business processes
• Experience working directly with senior finance stakeholders
• Confidence facilitating workshops and presenting recommendations
• Previous consulting, professional services or complex enterprise transformation experience
• Experience leading, coaching or reviewing the work of other consultants
• Relevant finance systems certifications would be advantageous but are not essential
