About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic Project Systems Accountant on a contract basis for approx. 3 months to spearhead the enhancement of our financial systems, facilitating our ambitious growth plans. This role is crucial in transitioning our operations to cloud-based solutions, optimizing financial processes, and embedding efficiency into our daily operations. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our financial infrastructure, ensuring it supports our expansion while maintaining the essence of our unique market position.
This is an on-site contract role for approx 3months, based in the vibrant Te Aro area, no WFH option.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and optimize Xero for comprehensive financial management, including integrations for inventory management and automation of order processing.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of current financial systems and processes, identifying and implementing strategic improvements.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager to streamline order handling and customer inquiries, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Engage in office management duties, contributing to a variety of tasks in our flat-structured, versatile team environment.
- Lead the transition to cloud-based systems, ensuring a smooth integration of financial operations and supporting our growth strategy.
- Proven experience in system accounting, particularly with Xero and its integrations, within a start-up or small business environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess and optimize financial systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of working collaboratively in a small team and managing change effectively.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a hands-on approach to tackling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- An innovative mindset, driven to find efficient solutions and improve operational effectiveness.
- Previous experience in retail or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable, alongside an understanding of inventory management systems.
