Join a compact yet influential manufacturer based in Wellington, with a product that you use every day without realising! They are well-established but with a new GM they have started on a journey of growth and internal improvements. They are planning to bring finance in-house for the first time and are looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to own this.
About the Role
Supported by an accounts assistant you will own day-to-day finance but also be heavily involved in commercial decision-making across the business around manufacturing, supply chain and sales. Systems and process improvement will be an initial focus. You main responsibilities include but will definitely not be limited to;
- Ownership of core finance, board reporting, external reporting, tax, etc.
- Lead critical financial projects, including roll-out of a new finance system and reporting tools
- Manufacturing accounting, business partnering and analysis
- Commercial support in other areas including sales, procurement, supply chain, etc
- Build a close relationship with the GM and support them on new initiatives.
You are a commercially astute, hands-on senior accountant, driven by innovation and precision. You have hands-on exposure ideally in manufacturing or transferable environments - this is a must! Your professional profile includes:
- A great communicator, able to build relationships with factory staff and the board.
- Commercial astute - able to understand the nuances of a manufacturing business and support decisions with data-driven insights.
- Able to take ownership of day-to-day core finance.
- Flexible in approach with a solution-driven mindset.

- $130-160,000 depending on experience
