About the Role:
This pivotal Accounts Officer position involves a wide range of financial responsibilities, from transactional processing to complex reporting.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy across various functions, supporting the company's operational and strategic objectives.
The role reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for all day-to-day finance matters in the company. It will also work closely with the external CA Firm.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Managing the day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
• Perform monthly and annual financial reporting and reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end, including accruals, pre-payments and journals
• Liaising with the external accounts for end-of-month reporting
• Oversee GST and PAYE return preparations
• Maintain the fixed assets register and manage bank reconciliations
• Engage in financial record keeping and general ledger reconciliations

We are looking for someone experienced in a similar-level accounting role in a
small/medium-sized business who is looking for a long-term move to an exceptionally well-run business with a fantastic reputation.
Based in an easily accessible area in Epsom in the heart of Auckland’s premium school zones, there is some flexibility with hours in terms of full-time/part-time.
As an IT company, we are looking for someone interested in technology who is familiar with MYOB and MS Excel.
Strong organisation skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work seamlessly with the wider business are the personal traits that will set you up for success in this role.
