Interim Management Accountant (12 month contract)

A rapidly growing, manufacturer transitioning from growth start-up to an international business. With strong leadership and recent internal promotions, the business is investing in systems, people and process improvement to help them get to the next stage. 

About the Role

This role blends management accounting with operational costing/analysis partnering closely with operations to drive margin clarity and improvement. Reporting to a Senior FP&A leader, you’ll deliver weekly insights and support strategic forecasting. With strong investment in systems (new Finance ERP Jan 2027) and process improvement, this is an opportunity to influence reporting, leverage AI tools, and contribute to a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end processes including journals, accruals, and reporting
• Produce weekly reporting across sales, production, and shipments
• Analyse product costing, margins, and operational performance
• Partner with operations to drive efficiency gains
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and continuous reporting improvements

So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?

• This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) who doesn’t want the traditional Financial Accountant first move from practice 
• Proven experience in management accounting and financial analysis would be great
• Strong costing and margin analysis capability (manufacturing ideal)
• Confident communicator, able to partner with non-finance teams
• Continuous improvement mindset, with interest in automation/AI tools
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You will need to be available at short notice and looking for a role as an independant contractor at $55-65 GST per hour.
