Are you ready to take the reins as the CFO at SHAPE, a high growth & ambitious organisation in the energy sector? SHAPE (part of the STILL Group) is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking CFO to drive financial strategy and operational excellence. With a team of 100, SHAPE has grown extensively in the last two years and this role is pivotal to ensure their growth is managed well into the future.

This is a permanent role based in Auckland, offering a competitive salary, a team of passionate people and loads of opportunity!

• Lead financial strategy to support the company’s growth and expansion.
• Key leadership of Finance, HR, IT and general operations.  This is a great role for those keen to move into a future COO position.
• Optimise both financial performance and drive operational efficiency through the use of smart systems and process set up and implementation.
• Champion systems improvement to enhance financial processes and reporting.
• Provide pivotal structure and leadership to ensure the business can continue on its strong growth path.

Preferred Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior financial management role in an organisation with loads of change.
• Ideally, experience with the energy or infrastructure sector, or an environment managing large projects ensuring controls and accurate job costing would be great.
• Demonstrated track record of successful process enhancement and systems improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles specific to the energy or infrastructure industry.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to drive change and transformation in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent).

Ideal Profile:
We are looking for a bit of a unicorn!  A leader with a strategic commercial mindset who can lead the operations part of the organisation into both its growth and ambition.  You'll be someone with a strong finance background, and someone who is keen on a wider role.  You'll enjoy providing support to the CEO and the Board and working with them to help achieve business goals.
  
This is a hands-on CFO role for someone who wants to make an impact.  You'll have energy and ambition but you're also a strong finance lead with the ability to lead change.
