About the role

• Daily banking and allocation
• Monitor debtor and creditor aging levels
• Monthly journal uploads
• General ledger maintenance
• Payment of staff claims and creditors via accounts payable and internet banking
• Balance sheet and revenue reconciliations
• Liaise with the internal team for payment and receipt queries
• Assist with month-end reporting including bank account, credit card and balance sheet
• Debtor reporting as required.

The role requires a high work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work to agreed deadlines. 

• Demonstrated experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role
• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent time management to meet agreed deadlines
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Competency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) – experience with Xero and eGlobal would be beneficial but not essential.
