Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a newly created full-time, permanent opportunity based in Mt Eden. This is a pivotal position for the wider group to manage and optimise the accounts payable process and assist with a new system implementation later in the year.

This position involves handling all aspects of accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and developing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience with process improvement, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties include:
  • Accurate entry of accounts payable transactions
  • Invoice coding, ensuring compliance with sign-off authorities
  • Preparation of bank payment files
  • Maintenance of supplier master files
  • Assist with the annual audit of the Group
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable cycle
  • Collaborate with the wider group to streamline workflows
  • Provide training and support to other team members on new processes and systems
So, who are you and what is your profile?
  • Experience working in a similar Accounts Payable position (3 years)
  • Proven experience in process improvement within an accounts payable of finance function
  • Strong Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with JDE would be preferred but not essential
  • Excellent written and oral communication – ability to communicate with a diverse range of financial and non-financial stakeholders.
