  • Workflow Planning: Coordinate team capacity to ensure all deadlines, quality standards, and commercial outcomes are met.
  • Technical Review: Take end-to-end responsibility for compliance engagements, including financial statements (IFRS) and income tax returns.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all outputs align with the latest accounting standards, tax legislation, and firm methodologies.

Innovation & Stakeholder Management

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows through the adoption of new tools and AI-driven technologies.
  • Trusted Advisor: Develop strong relationships with Partners and senior stakeholders, acting as a confident representative of the firm in all external interactions.
  • National Collaboration: Work with leaders across New Zealand locations to lift the consistency and quality of the national practice.

About You

  • Qualified Professional: CAANZ membership (or equivalent recognised professional body) with 4 years of experience
  • Proven Leader: You have a track record of leading teams and managing complex accounting and tax compliance portfolios within a professional services environment.
  • Technical Expert: Deep knowledge of NZ accounting standards and tax legislation.
  • Innovation Mindset: You are focused on “doing work that matters” and are comfortable leading a team through technological change and process evolution.

This is your chance to lead with impact and grow your career in a collaborative and future-focused environment.
