Insolvency Compliance Analyst



The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an Insolvency Compliance Analyst to join a leading Advisory & Restructuring firm in Auckland.

You’ll work alongside an experienced team supporting a range of restructuring and insolvency engagements, including receiverships, voluntary administrations and liquidations. The firm works across a broad range of industries and is known for delivering commercial and pragmatic solutions to complex business problems.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering strong exposure to financial analysis, accounting, insolvency processes and stakeholder management.
What You’ll Be Doing

• Using Excel to analyse financial data and prepare summary schedules
• Preparing bank reconciliations and identifying variances
• Reviewing creditor invoices and assisting with payment processing
• Preparing receipts and payments reports
• Managing creditor claims and assisting with creditor distributions
• Managing company payroll
• Preparing IRD returns and assisting with PAYE, GST and employee entitlement calculations
• Maintaining accounting records and general ledger accounts
• Assisting with debtor collections
• Responding to creditor and employee queries
• Drafting correspondence and statutory reports
• Supporting the team at client premises when required

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be motivated, commercially minded and eager to develop your career within a professional advisory environment.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Prior experience in Transactional Accounting/Assistant Accountant
• Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An eagerness to learn
• The ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially and tactfully
• A proactive, can-do attitude
• A commitment to ongoing professional development
• Experience with Xero, MYOB or SAP would be advantageous but is not essential
