About the Role
This role sits within a tight-knit finance team where your expertise will be valued, and your impact will be visible. You’ll work across NZ and AU entities, collaborating with the UK team, delivering accurate financials, driving insights, and supporting strategic decision-making. It’s a role built for someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, detailed variance analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Oversee and process inter-company transactions between NZ, AU, and UK entities, including collaboration with the UK finance team
- Maintain tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions (GST, VAT, FBT, etc.), support audit processes, and liaise with external auditors
- Support foreign currency management and cashflow forecasting, ensuring accurate and proactive control of cash positions across multiple entities
- Manage payroll review for both salaried and waged staff in NZ and AU, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Drive process improvements across finance systems and reporting; contribute to Power BI and D365 usage as applicable
You’re a fully qualified accountant (CA or equivalent) with a minimum of three years’ experience in a commercial finance environment, ideally within a similar-sized or international business. You bring confidence, independence, and a proactive mindset to your work, and you're comfortable communicating across all levels of the business. Experience with Microsoft D365 is a strong advantage, and any exposure to Power BI and payroll oversight will be well regarded. You’re someone who takes initiative, thrives in an environment where you can add real value, and enjoys being trusted to get on with the job.
