About the Company
This iconic New Zealand business has a nationwide network of branches, helping local businesses across New Zealand.

Over the years, they have built an incredibly strong brand which every Kiwi knows and trusts.

They are in the process of developing the commercial capability of their head office and creating a team to support decision-making (short and long term) across their head office and branch network.

About the Role
This newly created role sits within the finance leadership team and is responsible for building and leading the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis capability.

You’ll partner with executives to provide commercial insights, develop financial models, and support strategic decision-making while shaping reporting frameworks and data-driven performance insights across the organisation and branch network.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and rolling forecast processes
• Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards, and board-level insights
• Deliver financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategy
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data and reporting capability
• Champion best practice in financial analysis and planning across the organisation
  
  

So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?
You'll need to be a strong communicator who can explain complex commercial concepts to all levels and also naturally take ownership of the space you work in. Also we need;

• Strong experience in FP&A and/or commercial finance roles
• Advanced financial modelling skills with expert Excel capability
• Experience presenting insights to senior leadership and/or boards
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategy
  Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or ERP systems is advantageous
