This leading Financial Services firm is looking for support during a really busy period as they go through their year-end and other projects.
About the Role:
This 6-month fixed-term role supports group reporting and statutory accounting. You'll play a crucial part in preparing timely, accurate group-level financials and statutory reports. Benefits include hybrid working, a high-performing team, and exposure to a large, complex reporting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare interim and year-end statutory financial statements for group entities
- Support monthly consolidations, journal reviews, and general ledger reconciliations
- Deliver audit workpapers and liaise with auditors on technical queries and documentation
- Provide accounting insight and technical advice across the team for reporting enhancements
- 3–5 years’ experience in financial or statutory reporting, ideally in a large Financial Services organisation if not a listed firm is suitable
- CA/CPA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand regulatory frameworks and financial control principles
- Demonstrated experience in external reporting within a commercial environment
- Initial six months contract
- Auckland CBD location with flexible working
- Hourly rate c.$80 GST
