SARA Recruitment Leader of the Year – Angela Cameron
For the second time this year we are super proud of the achievements of our CEO, Angela Cameron! She has followed up her RCSA NZ Recruitment Leader of the Year award earlier in the year, by winning the NZ Recruitment Leader of the Year for 2019 at the SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards (SARAs) last night.
The award is fantastic recognition not only for the impact Angela has had on Consult’s business performance, but the way she inspires our team, and her contribution to the recruitment industry as a whole.
All award entries were reviewed without personal details to remove any unconscious bias, by a judging panel that was made up from a variety of business leaders across different industries, not just from recruitment. Therefore, this is a major acknowledgement of Angela’s achievements to leadership in business, not just in recruitment.
She has achieved this through setting the bold goal of making Consult the best place to work in New Zealand, doubling down on the culture and team, and creating a great work environment in a new office space with lots of room to meet, create and collaborate. She has empowered our senior team members to become team leaders and developed new verticals in the business that they lead.
Additionally, she also takes her role in giving back to the recruitment industry seriously, through a consistent commitment to mentoring both officially and informally, regularly speaking about the recruitment industry at events and blogging regularly about recruitment insights for hiring managers and business owners, and job seeking tips for candidates.
On winning the award, Angela commented, “Consult has had an amazing year in regards to the growth of the business. We also got “new parents”, an organisation who are supportive in helping us drive recruitment with a purpose to enhance the lives of New Zealanders. This award is recognition for all the hard work that has gone into Consult, not just by myself, but a lot of others over the years.
