Just Be Kind

It’s been a terrible week. Devastating. My family have been grappling with poor health news about someone dear to us – a kind and gentle, special person. Yet while for us time stands still in shock, for the rest of the world – life goes on. Work happens, coffee is made – people are placed into roles.
Which got me thinking:
All around you every day there are people dealing with devastating news. They are the ones who smile empty smiles in the morning, the ones who look like they haven’t slept, the ones who sigh a lot and keep to themselves. They try to keep up with the work and the office banter – with the laughs and the conversations – and it’s hard.
So let us all this week look around – really look at each other and recognise that we are all doing our best and that while we know each other at work – many people in your workplace are dealing with stuff you’re not aware of.
So if you are in doubt – choose kindness.
