Our client is an engineering solutions company that has been active in New Zealand since 2008, featuring a fast-expanding team composed of skilled engineers, sales professionals, and administrators.
The company offers an array of services such as providing spare parts and maintenance for four-stroke, two-stroke, and high-speed engines. It also delivers extensive equipment support for various manufacturers through its comprehensive service program.
These services are sought after in multiple industries including marine, turbo-machinery, wind turbine, and power generation sectors across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, including places like the Cook Islands and Tahiti.
About The Role
Reporting to a supportive manager, this part-time role will be essential to the day-to-day processes within the finance team. This is a contract opportunity with the potential to become permanent for 24 hours per week (flexible across either school hours or full days). Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with product centres and suppliers for goods deliveries
- Coordinating inbound and outbound freight locally and overseas and tracking orders
- Liaising with internal departments to advise spare parts deliveries
- Liaising with and supporting Sales Specialists with product information, ETAs and other relevant info
- Managing stock levels and ensuring optimal inventory control
- Order follow up, delivery consignments, through to allocation for invoicing
- Procurement vendor review and setting up vendor process or procedures for purchases
- Preparation of purchase orders for company purchases
- Receive all goods into computer system and code correctly then pass to accounts department for payment
- Manage end to end process for 3PL services
You are a detail-oriented professional with strong computer literacy, confident in using MS Office and ERP systems like SAP Business One. You take pride in contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and enjoy working in environments that value initiative and adaptability.
With experience in sales processing, customer management, and process development, you bring a practical understanding of how to drive efficiency and support business growth. Your excellent communication skills, along with your knowledge of sales metrics and procurement principles, make you a valuable team member.
You’re comfortable working in a small but globally focused business and are flexible when it comes to supporting operational needs—including being available after hours to ensure timely delivery of products. You're also physically capable of assisting with occasional manual lifting when required.
