LEAD Executive Search is excited to be partnering with Humphreys Landscaping for this exciting strategic and commercial leadership role with responsibility for driving revenue growth and brand awareness for New Zealand's much-loved and award-winning premium Garden and Pool services business.
This role reports to the CEO and is part of the senior leadership team, collaborating across departments to deliver an exceptional client experience from start to finish.

About the role
As the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will drive revenue growth and brand visibility for Humphreys With a focus on sales (70%) and strategic direction over marketing (30%), you will lead a team of four, build relationships with high-value clients, and oversee the complete sales cycle—from strategy to execution.
In this dynamic role, you will lead in crafting and executing innovative sales strategies designed to meet ambitious revenue goals. As a hands-on leader, you will guide, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence. Your ability to build and nurture key client relationships will be crucial, overseeing everything from proposals and site visits to contract negotiations and seamless project handoffs. You will refine sales processes, introduce streamlined CRM systems, and consistently analyse sales data to identify new opportunities for improvement, driving continuous success.
Equally important will be your strategic direction over marketing efforts, where you will create and implement campaigns designed to fuel brand growth and awareness. Managing the brand’s presence across digital platforms, print, and industry events, you will ensure that our premium positioning is reflected at every touchpoint. From content creation and SEO to social media engagement and website performance, you will oversee all aspects of our marketing initiatives. By tracking key metrics and optimising campaigns for ROI, you will ensure that every marketing effort drives tangible results and reinforces the brand's exceptional quality.

About You
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in sales leadership or commercial marketing roles, ideally within the landscaping, home services, or premium, luxury goods market. You will have a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets and a strong background in aligning marketing strategies with sales growth. Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills are essential, as is the ability to effectively manage and nurture key relationships. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but more importantly you will have a proven track record in successful sales and/or commercial marketing results delivery.
