Our client is a complex global business with operations spanning multiple regions and functions. Known for its collaborative culture and forward-thinking leadership, the organisation offers a fast-paced, commercially focused environment where high performance, innovation, and continuous development are key. With their New Zealand head office in the Auckland CBD, the business offers excellent growth opportunities and the chance to be involved in some really exciting commercial projects.
About the Role
This pivotal role partners closely with senior leaders to shape strategic direction through insights and planning. With visibility across commercial, technical, and finance functions, this is a unique chance to lead high-impact financial analysis while mentoring talent and streamlining performance. You'll enjoy autonomy, challenge, and a globally connected workplace based in Auckland.
Key Responsibilities will include the following:
- Consolidate and lead management financial reporting, forecasting, and the annual budgeting process.
- Drive long-term P&L and cash flow forecasting, delivering strategic insights to leadership.
- Enhance reporting tools to optimise business decisions.
- Partner with business unit heads on KPIs and financial performance tracking.
- Lead, mentor, and guide a direct report while delivering accurate, timely analysis.
- Provide support to the business in areas of mergers & acquisitions analysis and due diligence.
- Work with large data sets, condensing them into a coherent story with easy to understand conclusions and implications.
You're an experienced finance professional with at least 7-10 years in FP&A or a commercially related field, an added bonus would be if you started your accounting career in the Big 4. You will need to be CA/CPA qualified, you will have worked for large complex businesses (ideally where you reported to an overseas parent) and it would be great to have people leadership experience.
Your toolkit includes Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI or SQL. You’re a proactive, hands-on team player who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and can juggle competing priorities with ease. You're confident working across all levels, from analysts to the executive suite, and bring strong communication and storytelling skills to drive clarity and results.
