About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Penrose, designed for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and being hands-on. Reporting directly to the GM and managing one Accounts Assistant, this is a pivotal role that blends operational finance with strategic input. You'll be a valued right-hand person to the GM, someone dependable, grounded, and commercially astute who can be trusted to help drive the business forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-spectrum accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and monthly reconciliations
- Prepare, review, and analyse management and statutory reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and forecasting commentary
- Manage tax and compliance functions such as GST, FBT, payroll tax, ACC levies, fixed asset depreciation, and lease obligations
- Ensure financial operations and reporting align with internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate policies across multiple jurisdictions
- Collaborate closely with global teams to meet international reporting and consolidation requirements
- Drive process improvements across finance systems and reporting tools while supporting the business with insightful financial guidance
So who are you and what is your profile?
You’re a fully qualified accountant with at least five years of experience in senior accounting or finance roles. You’re highly proficient in Excel, pivot tables and VLOOKUPs are second nature. You bring a strong sense of integrity and reliability, with a reputation for being the person the business can count on. You’re detail-oriented, a confident communicator across all levels, and comfortable navigating the pace of a growing business. Experience within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous, especially in relation to product costing, inventory, or production reporting.
