About the Role

This senior leadership opportunity sits within a high-performing tax advisory team specialising in employment tax. You’ll lead complex client engagements across compliance and advisory matters, while shaping strategic outcomes for organisations managing their workforce and remuneration frameworks. The role offers the chance to work with major organisations, collaborate across specialist tax teams, and mentor talented professionals within a supportive and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead employment tax advisory and compliance engagements including PAYE, FBT, and ESS reporting
• Provide guidance on international workforce tax matters and cross-border employee issues
• Advise on employee share schemes and remuneration-related tax structures
• Collaborate with wider tax and advisory teams on corporate transactions and restructuring
• Mentor team members while strengthening client relationships and contributing to market growth

So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?

• 10 years’ experience in tax advisory with strong employment tax expertise
• Experience advising on employee share schemes and remuneration frameworks
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment tax regulations
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and client relationships
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify strategic opportunities
• CA qualification or equivalent preferred
• Experience contributing to tax aspects of corporate transactions is advantageous
