This is a key position responsible for enhancing the organisation’s cyber security maturity. You’ll define and execute critical security initiatives to safeguard systems, data, and infrastructure, while aligning with business goals and compliance requirements.

This is a key position responsible for enhancing the organisation’s cyber security maturity. You’ll define and execute critical security initiatives to safeguard systems, data, and infrastructure, while aligning with business goals and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement baseline controls and mitigations for end-of-life systems to reduce vulnerabilities.
- Lead the design and implementation of network segmentation as part of broader security controls.
- Oversee comprehensive audits to ensure full coverage by vulnerability and attack surface management tools.
- Assess SOC capabilities, establish a remediation roadmap, and lead implementation.
- Guide and support threat modelling and risk assessment across key initiatives.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-level cyber security programmes.
- Strong expertise in network segmentation and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with SOC operations and improvement planning.
- Hands-on experience with third-party risk assessment and PCI-DSS compliance.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to translate technical risks into actionable business insights.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar highly desirable.
- Auckland based role - 3-6 months contract role
- Prior Security architecture experience is a must
- Prior Finance or insurance domain is preferred!
