About the Role:
This 9-month contract offers an immediate start for an experienced and audit-trained accountant, ideally suited to someone with a little experience in industry post qualification. You’ll play a key role in month-end close and reporting, while working with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial outcomes and compliance with NZ IFRS standards. You will be working across the business with stakeholders at all levels so will gain useful exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals and reclassifications
- Reconcile revenue data across multiple systems and resolve discrepancies
- A focus on a tight month end and continuous improvements via system improvements
- Support technical accounting under NZ IFRS
- Assist with audit, compliance, and financial statement preparation
- CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Ideally an audit background
- 2 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting
- Familiar with NZ IFRS
- Skilled in Excel and large complex ERP systems like SAP/Oracle
- Strong analytical thinker with high attention to detail
- Able to manage deadlines and priorities independently
- Confident communicator who can engage across teams
- Proactive and solution-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset
The role will be an hourly rate depending on experience of c.$55-60 GST.
