About the Role
This is a hands-on Financial Controller contract providing short-term cover during a critical reporting period. You’ll ensure continuity across month-end, statutory reporting, audit, and cashflow while supporting the CFO with clear financial insight. Ideal for an experienced operator who can step in quickly, lead a capable team, and keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting
- Lead year-end statutory reporting and manage audit deliverables
- Maintain strong controls across cashflow, treasury, and financial compliance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Provide steady leadership to the finance team during the contract period
- CA qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proven Financial Controller experience in medium to large organisations
- Confident leading month-end, audit, and statutory reporting cycles
- Experienced running a medium sized team of 4-6
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Hands-on, reliable, and able to add value from day one
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern accounting systems
