About the Role
This role plays a pivotal part in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting for the Group, enhancing financial insight and operational efficiency. It's a great opportunity for a commercially-minded accountant with a strong technical grounding who thrives in a changing environment. You'll enjoy variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact during this six-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support the month-end process.
- Deliver high-quality financial reporting and accurate manual journals.
- Manage ad-hoc finance queries and collaborate across departments including reporting and FP&A functions.
- Support cashflow and investment forecasting aligned with treasury policy.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and reporting standards.
- CA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified ideally with experience in financial services.
- Ideally audit trained with subsequent experience in Financial Services.
- Technically strong with a deep understanding of financial systems (SAP/Oracle or similar tier 1 ERP systems) and processes.
- Confident identifying areas for process improvement and driving efficiency.
- Advanced Excel skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work across teams.
- Comfortable managing multiple work streams in a deadline-driven environment.
- Curious, commercially minded, and adaptable to change.
- Able to start in October and commit to a full six-month term.
