About the Role
This leadership role reports to the CFO and is central to the financial stability and performance of the business. The Finance Manager leads a large team, ensuring the accuracy of reporting, compliance, and audit processes while also driving analysis, system improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring alignment with safety, competency, and company values
- Own the month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, including all statutory statements and board reporting
- Manage external audits, ensuring timely responses, accurate workpapers, and resolution of findings
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making and continuous improvement
- Ensure robust financial control through policy compliance, tax obligations, and financial systems support
You’re a CA-qualified finance professional with experience in audit and commercial. You bring proven leadership capability, able to manage and motivate large teams while fostering a collaborative and values-aligned environment. You have strong knowledge of NZ taxation, exceptional financial modelling and Excel skills, and experience with month-end, audit, payroll, tax, and system improvement.
You’ve ideally operated in a services-based environment where responsiveness, compliance, and quality delivery are key. A confident communicator with a proactive mindset, you thrive in complex, high-accountability environments and are committed to continuous learning, safety, and quality delivery.
