About the Role:
This short-term contract role is perfect for a hands-on Data Engineer ready to hit the ground running. You'll support business-as-usual needs by enabling smart data movement, model design, and reporting using the latest Azure technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data flows using Data Factory and other Azure-based tools
- Build and optimise semantic models and Power BI reports
- Handle ad hoc data engineering tasks to support business reporting
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to meet operational data needs
- Ensure efficient and secure data ingestion into the data fabric environment
- Proficient in Python and PySpark for data transformation
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory and Power BI
- Proven ability to build semantic models and enterprise-grade reporting
- Confident working independently and delivering to tight timelines
- Knowledge of data governance and best practices in a cloud environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to start immediately and commit to a 2–3 month engagement
