About the Company:
This fintech company collects and distributes payments internationally across NZ, Australia and the Pacific Islands. They are PE-backed with plans to grab more market share and add more countries.

Their finance team needs a good leader, the CEO needs a 2IC and the PE owners need someone who can improve the quality and timeliness of their reporting.

This is a great opportunity to really make an impact and gain PE experience.

About the Role:
This is not a big company; hence, this is a hands-on role, it really needs someone with good vision who can get into the weeds and improve the finance function, but also work with the CEO and PE owners to grow the business.
Key Responsibilities include;

• Lead regional month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet control
• Oversee treasury, working capital and liquidity management across multiple entities
• Manage tax compliance, statutory reporting, and external/internal audits
• Provide strategic financial insight to leadership and contribute to key decision-making
• Mentor and develop a small finance team, fostering excellence and collaboration

So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?
This role really suits someone who likes continuous improvement, is happy to be strategic one day and hands-on the next.
You’ll be a qualified accountant who is an excellent communicator. FS experience is a bonus but not completely necessary.

• Technically strong with a solid grasp of IFRS, financial reporting, and treasury
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and intercompany transactions
  
  
• Proven success in navigating change, growth, and integration in fast-paced settings
• Excellent communication and EQ—confident, engaging across cultures and leadership levels
• Strong people leader with a collaborative approach and hands-on mindset
