Market Development Manager

Ryan has worked across various industries, meeting people from all walks of life. To say his life has been a whirlwind of excitement is a definite understatement. Some highlights include managing a Michelin Star restaurant, being an Art Director that included doing the only work for the All Blacks outside of Saatchi’s & founding AFQY (A Few Quiet Yarns), where he ran monthly events for 14 years, attracting 150+ per month.

So why recruitment? Through all that Ryan has done, people have been the biggest focus by far. Funnily enough, Ryan has already worked in recruitment through the IT part of his career, where he worked for two years, leading NZ Systems Integrators before joining Consult.

Among his extensive experience, he has developed strong skills in tech, sales, marketing, and management, and genuinely loves interacting with and learning from people. Everyone has a story, and as Ryan believes, those stories need to be told, which is why he prefers learning from others to telling his own!

Ryan’s overall aim is to help our clients and candidates achieve their goals with efficiency and care. As our Market Development Manager, his primary focus is now on engaging the market to bring in new business for both full-time and contract roles, as well as leading our AOG recruitment services.

When he isn’t networking up a storm, Ryan loves walking his dog with his wife, having plenty of BBQs with mates and watching rugby of all levels.
