Experience required for this role:

• Under Graduate qualification relevant for the position which may include; business management, service management, team leadership
• Experience in working in a kaupapa Maori framework, and with families from different cultures
• Experience in facilitating groups/programmes

Some More Information About The Role

The purpose of this role is to identify and place children in need of care with appropriate whanau, work with whanau and Oranga Tamariki to reach desired outcomes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Whakapapa research to identify whanau to place tamariki / rangatahi in care with Oranga Tamariki
• Whanau Caregiver Assessment
• Utilise Oranga Tamariki info to develop comprehensive whakapapa
• Process support for whanau caregivers
• Facilitate hui-a-whanau

Please note this role is only suitable for someone with permanent residency or NZ citizenship. Candidates also require a clean, full driver’s license and must pass a Police Vetting & MSD Check to comply with the Vulnerable Children Act.
