They work mainly with attorneys, advisors, private banks and other institutions and operate on the international stage with operations in Europe, South America, and Northern America as well as local operations in New Zealand and Australia.
A little bit about the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will form part of a strong Trust Accounting team looking after their US accounts in particular. This will involve the preparation of Financial Statements and US tax submissions. This business work to tight deadlines and you will be engaging with people all across the business and externally.
So who are you and what is your profile
First and foremost this role will require an intricate knowledge of US Tax regulations. You must be a fully Qualified Accountant with a body that is recognised in the US.
You will have experience preparing financial statements to US reporting requirements either here or in the States. Naturally, you will be able to navigate most systems and will be highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Lastly, the nature of the business demands a high degree of attentiveness, professionalism and the ability to communicate throughout multiple layers of the business. On any given day, you could be dealing with solicitors, finance or even the company directors.
