A Little Bit About The Company

Located in central Auckland, these guys carry a great brand and have an awesome reputation for their ability to look after their people.
They have grown a tonne in the last few years, but have not lost their personal touch! The Partners still maintain an open door policy to both their staff and clients.
Be rewarded for working hard and working smart in this team. This is an environment where career progression will not come at the cost of work-life balance.
This is a dynamic firm with a real passion for what they do and a hunger for growth. But they are also down to earth, family friendly and above all understand the importance of balance.
With plenty of great projects coming through the door there is more than enough work to keep you busy.

Some More Information About The Role

As a Senior Manager, you'll be working closely alongside the Partners on a mix of tax consultancy projects & compliance, along with managing the team as well.
The large proportion of compliance work is taken care of by the Advisory team so the work that will come across your desk will be the more along the lines of conducting reviews and handling the higher level technical projects that will come through.
You'll be exposed to a wide range of clients from day one, of all sizes and industries looking for Tax Advisory services. The clients and the taxation issues you'll have the opportunity to work on will be very broad.
Additionally, you will be the unofficial (or official) tax specialist within the team, running the learning & development training for new tax legislation changes.

So Who Are You, And What Is Your Profile?

You will ideally be CA/CPA qualified or with an equivalent overseas qualification - you will need to have prior tax advisory experience (a Business Advisory background will definitely be considered!) and staff management experience within a professional accounting firm, preferably from a medium sized environment or Big 4.
At the Manager level, you'll be working very closely with Partners and clients so you need to be confident enough to hold your own and also know how to ask the right questions.
You could be a Senior Manager currently or a Manager in Practice right now with a family at home and looking for the work-life balance. This is great for you if you want to progress your career but also want to run and manage your own team.
What they can offer in return (other than the hugely sought after work-life balance) is a great remuneration package as well as the chance to step up and be recognised for your ambition.
Opportunities like this don't come around often!
