A Little Bit About The Company

This is a firm that prides themselves in having a creative and energetic approach and in being a true business partner to their clients. They are at the forefront of the changing Public Practice environment. They’re not your run of the mill accounting firm, they’ve adapted their approach to become more relationship driven.

As a partner to their clients, they aim to work hard, work smart and add value. They thrive off knowing that they’ve made a real difference to businesses and have (hopefully!) helped their clients sleep a little easier at night too.

This firm has a real passion for what they do and they also understand the importance of enjoying where you work! There is a strong focus on work-life balance and a good social aspect to the team culture.

Some More Information About The Role

There isn’t a big hierarchy in this team. As a Senior Accountant in the team, you’ll be working closely alongside the Partner on a diverse range of clients, tapping into their years of knowledge & experience while making sure the work you do for your portfolio of clients is top-notch.

Yes, this will involve completing a range of tax returns and producing the full set of annual accounts. But on top of that, you’ll gain exposure to more value-add services like forecasting, cash flow statements & budgets.

Thanks to some handy partnerships and amazing networks, you’ll be exposed to a wide range of clients and contacts from day one, of all sizes and from all industries.

There will be opportunities for you to really develop your skills within advisory and the opportunity to step up and take ownership of your own portfolio.

So Who Are You, And What Is Your Profile?

You may already be CA/CPA qualified or qualified by experience. More importantly, you will need to have prior experience working within a professional accounting firm, preferably from a medium sized environment or larger.

At the Senior level, they expect you to have a sound understanding of the current NZ tax legislation and financial reporting requirements but also have the capability to handle slightly curlier client files. You’ll be working very closely with Partners and clients so you need to be confident enough to hold your own and also know how to ask the right questions.

What they can offer in return great remuneration, tailored training and the chance to step up.

They’re a success driven firm and you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a great team who will recognize your achievements and invest in your success & professional development.

If you are genuinely looking for a move to a CA Firm where you will be treated with respect, work reasonable hours and be able to add value then it's well worth giving me a call or sending through your CV and we can talk from there!

All enquiries will be in absolute confidence.
