As one of the members of the senior leadership team, and oversight across not just finance but also IT and other operational areas, you will need to be a strong leader with the desire to learn the real ins and outs of the business. 

You will be responsible for;
  • Overseeing the financial and management reporting
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Payroll and oversight of the debtors and creditors
  • Systems upgrades and implementations
  • Tax requirements
  • Capex reviews and planning
  • Stock management, rolling stock takes
  • Management of the accounting team.
  • Tax management
  • Cashflow management
  • Oversight of IT, Legal and other operational areas
Experience;
  • Minimum 10 years of accounting experience.
  • Degree qualified, CA/CPA preferred
  • Experience with stock and rebates is preferred
  • Experience in distribution businesses in the construction industry is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and backgrounds and adapt your communication style
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • A good sense of humour and a desire to always provide exceptional service to both employees and customers
