Location Auckland South
Category Commercial Accounting
Type Permanent - Full Time
A little bit about the company

This company is known for its consistent excellence globally! There is a lot going on and the operations are diverse. The leadership team is strong and sets a positive high performing culture.

This is your chance to join a finance team that is well regarded throughout the business and is highly involved in all that is happening.

Some more about the role

As part of the commercial finance team your role will involve:
  • Business partnering with one of their divisions to drive strong performance
  • Project managing the budgeting and business planning process for the whole business
  • Managing and updating reforecasting models
  • Providing commentary on actuals versus budget
  • Identifying risks and opportunities of budget variances and the implications on long term planning and financial performance
  • Project managing the delivery of annual information disclosure reports
With responsibility for the overall company budget, you will liaise with the other divisional business partners and stakeholders across the business to bring the budget together. There will be a significant amount of assumption challenging. It’ll be you that will manage the consultation of the draft budget with the Leadership Team so this role has high visibility at a senior level.
The business partnering aspect involves making sure your stakeholders are in touch with their numbers. On top of that, you’ll get to identify opportunities to improve information and decision making and to bring about efficiencies to enhance performance. You will truly feel like you are adding value in this role.

So, who are you and what is your profile?

You will be the type of person who builds relationships and credibility easily and enjoys getting out amongst the business. This role will require someone who is organised and methodical given there is a lot of responsibility for co-ordinating some high priority planning and disclosure processes.

A commercial and analytical thinker who is proactive about making improvements and providing insights to the business will fit in well.

Ideally, this would suit someone who has proven analytical and business partnering experience within a large, complex business. Ex auditors have worked well in the past but we are definitely open-minded on this.

If you have used Power BI that is a bonus but you can definitely learn this on the job.

If you are ready to join a high performing team that promises to stretch and stimulate you then we'd love you to apply. Feel free to email Greta at greta@consultrecruitment.co.nz with any questions.
  • High level of responsibility
  • Lots of interaction with senior stakeholders
  • Progressive and positive culture
