The role will play the lead of ensuring adequate processes and frameworks are evolved to meet GDPR and complying with all data protection laws and regulations.  The role has the mandate to work across all three countries the business operates in leading data governance, privacy and GDPR
  
Key responsibilities
  • Informing and assisting the business with their responsibilities for complying with relevant data protection laws and regulation
  • Delivering training and promoting awareness and a culture of continuous improvement in compliance across the business
  • Developing strategic thinking and driving forward projects and initiatives to implement new data protection legislative requirements including GDPR across business operations
  • Assessing all existing and proposed data processing operations and maintaining appropriate documentation and meeting the governance and accountability requirements under the GDPR
  • Manage and respond to subject access requests
  • Advise and report to management on data protection compliance matters
  • Manage external relationships with regulatory authorities
So who are you and what is your profile?

You’ll be a data and privacy expert with experience in GDPR and adhering that to policies and processes. A proactive personality who can engage and influence across a variety of levels of a business is key along with working across the geographies of the business operations.
  
Your background;
  • Strong knowledge and experience in data governance, privacy with core hands-on experience in GDPR and establishing robust frameworks.
  • 5+ years working in data governance and GDPR
  • Experience in developing frameworks and processes to adhere to local data acts
  • Ability to implement an overarching governance framework.
  • Strong communicator who can communicate and influence across multiple geographies and levels
Highly Advantageous
  • Experience of working in data protection and GDPR in the UK / AU market
  • Legal background with experience in IP, Privacy and or data protection.
This role has the opportunity to be worked out of the organization’s London, England office in due course.
