Our client is a charitable not-for-profit organisation, based at Middlemore Hospital that facilitates clinical trials. These trials give the medical specialists and Counties Manukau patients greater access to better, innovative medicines and new medical devices.

Other requirements:
  • Leadership experience (of at least 5 staff)
  • At least 3 years management experience of clinical trials in a clinical trial or research unit/company.
  • Nursing qualification or MSc in health related field and GCP training
  • Extensive knowledge of the NZ health system.
Strong communication skills are a must along with being a team player as you will be working in a tight-knit team and with external stakeholders. Lastly, due to the nature of the organisation, you will have the ability to multi-task and manage your time and workload effectively. 
Some More Information About The Role
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
  • Clinical Trial Operations - Ensure the smooth operationalization of all aspects of clinical trials.
  • Recruitment of Clinical Staff
  • Work with each direct report to agree on accountabilities and standards of performance
  • Function as an effective member of the SLT team
