Some More Information About The Role


They're looking for an ambitious manager or assistant manager who's looking to build client relationships with a view to partnership in the future if that's something you're interested in.

There isn't a big hierarchy in this team. As a Manager or Assistant Manager in the team, you'll be working closely alongside the Partners on a diverse range of clients, tapping into their years of knowledge & experience while making sure the work you do for clients is top-notch.
  
You will be managing a small team so previous staff management experience, a strong technical mind and patience are essential. You'll be a counsellor and mentor, sharpening their technical skills as well as guiding them in their career.
  
Your day-to-day will involve workflow management and reviewing work. With a big focus on client relationship management, you will additionally be taking on the more technically complex projects and partnering with clients to assist with decision making.
  
Thanks to some handy partnerships and amazing networks, you'll be exposed to a wide range of clients and contacts from day one, of all sizes and from all industries. From SME's to large multinational firms the exposure to a variety of clients is endless.


So Who Are You, And What Is Your Profile?


Ideally, you will have prior staff management experience working within a professional accounting firm, preferably from a medium sized environment or larger. If you also have commercial accounting experience this is a bonus as they are also looking at expanding their business advisory side.
  
At the Assistant Manager and Manager level, they expect you to have an excellent understanding of the current tax legislation and financial reporting requirements with the capability to handle slightly curlier client files.
  
You'll be working very closely with Partners and clients so you will be confident enough to hold your own and also know how to effectively delegate work to the other accountants.

You'll have excellent communication skills and understand how important client relationships are with a view to building your own client base.
