A Little Bit About The Firm

Located in the CBD, these guys carry a great international brand that will look good on any resume and an awesome reputation for their ability to look after their people.

They have grown a tonne in the last few years, but have not lost their personal touch! The Partners still maintain an open door policy to both their staff and clients.
Be rewarded for working hard and working smart in this team. Long hours are not an expectation nor will it be a part of the reality of working here. This is an environment where career progression will not come at the cost of work-life balance.

This is a stable team with a down to earth culture and plenty of great projects coming through the door.  This could be a chance to improve your leadership skills working alongside experts in their profession, learning how to develop staff and how to manage a client portfolio.

Some More Information About The Role

As a Senior you'll be working closely alongside the Partners on a diverse range of advisory projects, tapping into their years of knowledge & experience while making sure the work you do for clients is top-notch.

The large proportion of compliance work is taken care of by the Advisory team whereas the work that will come across your desk will be the more complex cases.  Your day to day can include conducting reviews, managing client relationships and handling the higher level technical projects that will come through.

You'll be exposed to a wide range of clients from day one, of all sizes and industries looking for Tax Advisory services. The clients and the taxation issues you'll have the opportunity to work on will be very broad.  Working with a range of clients from NZ owned businesses to high net worth individuals; you could be working on anything from land transaction to cross-border tax issues.

With loads of potential for career growth, there will be opportunities for you to really develop your skills within tax advisory, client management and of course there is plenty of room to progress to Tax Manager.

So Who Are You, And What Is Your Profile?

You will ideally be CA/CPA qualified or with an equivalent overseas qualification - you will need to have prior tax advisory experience within a professional accounting firm, preferably from Big 4 or Mid-tier firm.

At the Assistant Manager level you'll be working very closely with Partners and clients so you need to be confident enough to hold your own and also know how to ask the right questions. You'll be someone who thrives off of adding value and working across a huge range of taxation issues.

You could be a Consultant currently looking for that opportunity to take a step up into Management. You could be someone in Practice right now with a family at home and absolutely sick of the long hours. This is great for you if you want to progress your career but also want to be able to have dinner at home on the weeknights.

What they can offer in return (other than the hugely sought after work-life balance) is a great remuneration package and as well as the chance to step up and be recognised for your ambition.
