Our client, a leading innovator in digital experience, is located in the vibrant heart of Auckland CBD. They are committed to delivering superior user experiences and are in search of a talented UX Designer for a 3-4 month contract. This role is integral to enhancing their Design System and providing crucial support in the realms of user testing and design.

Role Overview:
The Contract UX Designer will be pivotal in re-establishing and managing the client’s Design System, crafting comprehensive style guides for the curation team, and providing essential support to the lead UX Designer, Annemieke, in user testing and various other design tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design System Management: Lead the re-establishment and management of the Design System to align with both current and future company goals.
• Style Guide Creation: Develop clear, effective style guides to assist the curation team in upholding design consistency across platforms.
• User Testing Support: Collaborate in conducting user testing sessions, analyzing user feedback, and implementing design improvements.
• Design Collaboration: Work closely with the client’s team of designers, product managers, and developers to ensure a cohesive user experience.
• Project Management: Effectively handle multiple projects, managing workload to maintain high standards of quality.

Requirements:

• Proven Experience: A minimum of 3 years in UX Design, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in design systems and style guide creation.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in design tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, and Figma, and knowledgeable in HTML/CSS principles.
• User-Centric Design: A strong grasp of user-centred design principles and a dedication to creating engaging and intuitive user experiences.
• Team Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Analytical Ability: Proficient in analyzing user feedback and data to inform design choices.
• Project Management: Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
