Some More Information About The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting of the business; this is a broad role, so expect to be involved in the details but also the bigger picture.
This is a 9-month maternity leave cover and they are ready for someone to start 8th Jan to complete 4-6 weeks of handover before the current Accountant goes on leave.
Main responsibilities include;
- P&L, Month-end and year-end.
- Tax, GST, FBT
- Annual Audit
- Ownership of Financial systems, integrity and improvements
- Partnering with key internal stakeholders
- Development/Construction accounting
- Project reporting
- Assist with board reporting
This is a great role for someone with a genuine interest (and ideally experience) in property and/or construction; it's an ideal role for someone who is currently an Accountant but is looking for more responsibility. You will need to be part or fully qualified (CA/CPA/ACA/CIMA), be self-managing and have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
You'll also be happy with getting into the details but also able to understand and communicate the bigger picture.
