Our client is a leading business in the landscape maintenance sector. With their office on Auckland's North Shore, this large business improves peoples lives by designing, building and caring for the green spaces that allow us to unwind and do the things that we love. This business is a large player in their sector with many large commercial contracts with both public sector organisations and commercial businesses. As part of a wider group, this private equity backed organisation are currently going through a period of growth where they are looking for exceptional people to come in and drive the business forward.
Some More Information About The Role
This role will be a key member of the finance leadership team, ensuring that the day to day finance function runs seamlessly. This role will manage quite a large finance team made up of accountants and transactional staff so our client is looking for an experienced leader who can coach and develop team members.
To be considered for the role you will need to have worked in a similar commercial role in a large organisation and have managed teams of a similar size (8-10).
Key responsibilities will include the following tasks:
- Oversee the operations of the finance department
- Produce high quality reporting and analysis
- Lead and mentor a team of 8-10
- Provide support to the operational teams, ensuring that they are up to date on all things finance related
- Being technically competent and ensuring that the business is compliant with all tax regulations and IFRS standards.
So Who Are You & What is Your Profile?
To be considered for this role you will need to be fully CA/CPA and be Big 4 trained. You will have a minimum of 5 years commercial accounting experience with at least 3 years operating in a Finance Manager/Financial Controller role where you have managed a large team. You will need to be a natural communicator who can interact with all levels of the organisation and you will be technically competent and up to date with the latest accounting requirements.
