About the Role
This role is pivotal in maintaining and evolving our clients platforms, balancing hands-on production support with modernisation initiatives. You will work closely with business users to enhance legacy systems, applying architectural best practices and leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve code quality, documentation, and delivery efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for trading applications, ensuring stability and rapid issue resolution during market hours
- Analyse and document legacy systems, leveraging AI tools to enhance understanding and maintain accurate documentation
- Deliver enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes with robust testing and change control
- Improve system architecture by simplifying legacy components and introducing modern integration approaches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data flows and reduce manual processes
Key Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with C#, .NET, MS SQL, and Entity Framework
- Advanced SQL skills for troubleshooting and analysing complex data environments
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for code comprehension, testing, and documentation
- Solid understanding of architectural principles (e.g. SOLID, Domain-Driven Design)
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and RESTful API development
- Cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure) and exposure to event-driven architectures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience supporting and improving existing production systems in complex environments
