Senior Audit Manager

My Client is an established audit and accounting practice seeking an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Manager to lead the entire audit engagement from end to end. This is a permanent full time position based at their Central Auckland offices.

The role

• As Audit Manager you will manage the entire audit process from resource planning through to completion of audit engagements while ensuring best practice is embedded.
• You will have the opportunity to take an active role in the business development and tendering process while managing a diverse client portfolio.
• There will be other opportunities to be involved in management duties including staff performance and appraisals.

Key requirements:

• 5-7 years’ audit and assurance experience in within an established practice
• Prior experience of overseeing and managing staff on audit engagements
• Past experience handling a wide range of audit engagements with a particular focus on non-for-profit sector
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• CA/CPA qualified, with plans to obtain a CPP in near future
• Proven people leadership skills
• Ability to take ownership and work with minimal supervision
