Our client is a leading player in the Australasian FMCG market, they’re a trans-Tasman business dedicated to providing supermarkets, pharmacies and consumers with affordable, high-quality brands and products.

The Role: 

Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you will lead the brand development team and will be responsible for looking after the equity of all of their owned brands, including brand plans, category strategy, innovation / renovation / core management, communications framework & strategy and pricing. 

You’ll ensure the brand & category proposition and marketing strategy are properly considered, designed and implemented. 

The marketing team sets the direction and ideation of new products; leading NPD innovation projects across a broad range of products and identifying and driving growth in new international territories, including China and the USA, is the key challenge for this role. 

There are 3 direct reports for this role.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

This is a critical role and nothing less than pure talent will do! You must have a proven track record of success in senior brand management roles within Consumer Goods / FMCG companies, with a strong focus on innovation through NPD; bonus points if you have experience with overseas markets. 

You’ll also have:
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic brand plans, including clear portfolio strategies and plans to grow brand equity, market share, volume, and revenue, and create sustainable competitive advantage
  • Expertise in brand performance analysis and identifying consumer insights through global market trends, market share data and other available research tools
  • Extensive project management experience including NPD ideation, development & implementation
  • Commercial acumen (understanding COGS, margin, pricing & forecasting)
