The Company      Our client is a MedTech startup with the backing of a well-known, established investment company that are also investors behind many iconic kiwi businesses. The business will specialise in the distribution of innovative revolutionary medical devices that are going to change the medical industry, starting in the Orthopedics, Urology and Intensive Care/Respiratory sectors. These products have been developed by leading-edge US MedTech companies. With product-market fit established in the United States, FDA approval granted, and doctors actively using the products in the United States they are looking for an experienced leader to establish a New Zealand, Australia and Pacific exclusive distribution arm for products that represent the most innovative modern medical technologies in their respective specialties.       The Role Reporting to the board, this is an important, influential and challenging new role for an entrepreneurial salesperson to set up and actively pursue and develop new business opportunities within NZ/AUS. This role will lead the establishment of the NZ/AUS business with a view to grow into a CEO.        This is a really exciting opportunity for a strategic, high-achieving sales leader and general manager that will be high-level from a strategic point of view but also hands-on and getting stuck into the detail. Your responsibilities will include;
  • Setting up framework and infrastructure
  • Setting up distribution arms
  • Testing of the market, go-to-market strategies and activities 
  • Actively and positively promoting the brand in the market
  • End to end sales
  • Presentations and demonstrations of medical devices 
  • New recruitment to grow the business
This role gives you full autonomy to really mold this role to you with a pathway to become the CEO. The role is encompassing and broad with the flexibility in how to deliver agreed sales, margin and other key performance targets.  This will be a highly rewarding role for the right candidate.        About You     You will be a high-achieving senior B2B leader, within the MedTech sector with the ability to develop key relationships with private surgeon practices as well as knockdown doors with DHBs.   This role will be suited to a leader with an entrepreneurial mindset with experience working within a startup environment who has demonstrated success in setting up the business framework but is prepared to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into the grunt work.
