Our client is a leading global manufacturing business, with a collaborative culture and a commitment to continuous improvement, they blend advanced technology with strong local operations to stay at the forefront of their industry. The New Zealand business is located in their state of the art, award-winning, manufacturing facility in Avondale. The new facility has been designed to achieve a high level of operational efficiency and sustainability, providing a connected and inspiring work environment supporting a natural flow between offices, warehouse and factory.

About the Role

This Finance Manager position is a pivotal leadership role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive financial performance, insight, and strategic decision-making. You will lead a capable transactional team while owning reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, including digital transformation projects, in a dynamic and evolving environment. the role reports directly to the Financial Controller (Head of Finance) for the New Zealand business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to deliver high performance
  • Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Partner with stakeholders to provide commercial insights and drive decisions
  • Oversee tax compliance, audit processes, and internal controls (including SOX)
  • Champion process improvements and support system and digital transformation initiatives

So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?

You are a CA/CPA qualified finance professional with at least five years’ accounting experience and a proven track record leading finance teams. You bring strong technical expertise across IFRS, tax compliance, and reporting, alongside advanced Excel and ERP system capability.

You are analytically sharp, commercially minded, and confident partnering with stakeholders. Your communication skills are strong, you operate with integrity, and you thrive managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience within manufacturing and exposure to standard costing and inventory is advantageous.
